We'll arrive in LA on a Friday and spend Saturday visiting some favourite LA attractions before we head off to Las Vegas on Sunday.
We'll have 4 nights in fabulous Las Vegas; visiting the Hoover Dam, the Gun Store, Arlen Ness, Count's Kustoms and more. In the evenings you'll have freetime to explore the famous 'strip' or see one of the many amazing shows.
On Thursday we'll drive to Bakersfield for 'pub night' with Duane Jones at Kiwi Konnection. The October Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield is a three-day affordable speedfest that enthusiasts call ‘the Jewel of Nostalgia Racing.’ It attracts drag
racers and spectators from around the world and also includes a hot rod car show, swap meet and a vendors’ midway.
On Monday we'll head back to LA, and the rest of the tour we'll be visiting heaps of hot rod and speed shops like; Barris Kustoms, Mooneyes, Claysmith Cams, Reids Rods, CW Moss, Chev Truck Shop, Peterson Auto Museum, Hollywood Hot Rods, Hollywood Blvd, Manns Chinese Theatre, Vic Edelbrock's Private Collection, So-Cal Speed Shop, NHRA Museum, Limeworks plus more...
We'll also be visiting Disneyland, Universal Studios, Warner Bros and for shopping we'll take you to the Block at Orange, the Brea Mall plus the Citadel Outlets Mall. We'll also stop at supermarkets, Walmart, Home Depot and Walgreens pharmacy etc. for your day to day needs, i.e.: food and liquid refreshments!
This tour is one not to miss, with full on hot rods around every corner and a chance to experience the USA, the birthplace of hot rodding!

Friday: Depart NZ for Los Angeles - Garden Grove hot rod display (150 cars)
Saturday: 6am Donut Derelicts (300 cars) www.DONUT DERELICTS.com. - Anti Donuts - Petersons Auto Museum - Huntington Beach Pier, Promenade and Main Street
Sunday: Drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas - Route 66 Musuem - Peggy Sue's Diner - Imperial Palace Car Collection
Monday: So-Cal Speed Shop - Shelby Cobra Museum - Count's Kustoms - visit to large private hot rod and race car collection - Arlen Ness Choppers
Tuesday: Hoover Dam - Explore the 'strip'
Wednesday: The Gun Store - Las Vegas outlet mall (huge!)
Thursday: Drive from Las Vegas to Bakersfield - Kiwi Konnection for pub night
Friday: Hot Rod Reunion including swapmeet and vendors at Fomosa Raceway - Sonic burger cruise night
Saturday & Sunday: Hot Rod Reunion including swap meet and vendors at Fomosa Raceway
Monday: Drive to Los Angeles – The Block @ Orange (outdoor shopping mall)
Tuesday: Reid’s Rod Parts - CW Moss (old Ford parts) - The Car & Truck shop (Chev/Ford parts) - Claysmith Cams – Mooneyes - Limeworks

We'll fly into San Francisco and have a few days to visit Alcatraz, the US Naval display, you'll be able to eat crabs at the famous Fisherman's Wharf, and shop at the many stores along the waterfront. We'll go to Brizio's Hot Rods, Sanderson Headers and then we'll drive over the Golden Gate bridge to Petaluma where American Graffiti was filmed.
When we leave San Francisco we'll drive along the stunning Pacific Coastal Highway to San Simeon to take one of the tours through www.HEARST CASTLE.org.
We'll spend the night at Paso Robles before we head off for 2 days in Bakersfield where we'll catch up with Duane Jones at Kiwi Konnection for pub night. We'll visit Ironworks hot rods, the Army Surplus store, Harbor Freight Tools and the Boot Barn.
Then we'll head off to Ventura where we'll visit the National Hot Rod Supply store in the afternoon. We'll spend Saturday and Sunday at the www.PRIMER NATIONALS.com; this show includes 100s of hot rods, choppers & bobbers, a vendors midway plus live bands.
